Mr. Foley's practice focuses upon nonimmigrant, immigrant, and citizenship matters involving the international transfer of persons, relating to the transfer of intellectual property, businesses, and investments, including the related corporate, transactional, and federal employment law related issues, particularly relating to high tech firms.  He advises businesses on the best strategy for placing key businessmen and professionals in the U.S., as well as how to structure business arrangements to maximize business and immigration objectives.  He also advises on immigration-related employment law issues, assisting clients in performing prophylactic legal audits and "due diligence" analyses prior to closing on mergers and acquisitions. He represents individuals and businesses before Consulates, the U.S. Department of Labor's Employment and Training Administration, the Department of Homeland Security, the EOIR, BIA, and federal courts.
